NEVER AGAIN...BEWARE!!!

NEVER AGAIN...BEWARE! I had purchased 3 of their units, and also replacement batteries. I recently ordered a set of batteries for $48. One battery did not work. They asked me to return MY collar with the battery. Then they wanted me to pay over $100 to get my battery and collar back. They did NOT respond to their local BBB.

Don’t waste your money on the Pathfinder. Garbage product. Buy a Garmin.

Don’t waste your money on this product. It won’t do half the things it claims to do. It’s basically a toy compared to Garmin. Here are the issues myself and my brother have had (he has 2 dogs and I have 1):
First, good luck downloading offline maps. The app constantly crashes anytime you try to save maps offline. Whenever you zoom in and out on an area, it will crash every time. It will take you about an hour to get it to work and save one small area offline.
Second, the app constantly crashes while hunting. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve be mid Chukar hunt on a remote range and I’d pull out my phone to find my dog and the app would crash. I’d lose all the tracking of that hunt plus risked losing my dog. Thankfully my dog is well trained and will come with a whistle. But if you have have a dog that ranges, this product could lead to you losing your dog.
Third, it will take you hours to get the collar to connect to the transponder. Both my brother and I constantly have issues with them not connecting. I can’t tell you how much time I’ve spent having to delete the Bluetooth connection and reset it and try over and over and over to get it to connect.
Fourth, customer service sucks. First day I ever hunted with this product the antenna of the transponder unscrewed on its own while hiking and it fell off. When I called customer service to order a new one the person on the other end was extremely rude and basically acted like I was wasting their time.
Do your dog a favor and spend the extra money for a real tool like the Garmin Alpha 100, and not this $400 toy. It’s garbage.

No help if the collar breaks

We've had our collar for about 3 years. It broke, and I have had to send it in twice, and have even been blamed for it breaking. No one will call you to let you know what's going on with the collar. I have been without a working collar for 3 months. I have should have bought a new collar from a different company for the amount of money I have spent for "repairs" that haven't been done and shipping costs. I will never purchase from this company again.

Not that great of a unit.....

Ok I bought the Pathfinder September 2020 and I though it was working ok other than never showed the collar that close to me. Collar and connector side by side and it would show the collar 10 to 50 foot from me but I was ok with that problem, I could live with that but then I noticed when I changed the GPS rate from 2 seconds to 10 or 30 second rate to save battery it would go crazy on location of the collar. I could lay the collar on a plastic table with the connector 3ft from it and watch the screen on my older Samsung S7 phone. Screen showed collar was 50 yards in front of me and then next GPS signal collar was 100 yards behind me. It never stopped, every 10 seconds or 30 seconds depending on what setting I had it set for it was showing up somewhere in a 100-150 yard circle. With collar laying still for a few hours it would show the collar had traveled miles when in fact hadn't moved an inch. I only tried the 10 and 30 second rates. I didn't try any of the other GPS rates. I then contacted Dogtra, Nicholas was the tech guy that I talked to and he said try another phone and instead of calling and going thru the wait times to just email him what I had found out to nicholas at Dogtra .com. After installing on an S8 and a S10E I got same results. When I emailed him back, Nick called me and said he was going to try a test Labor Day weekend when he was off.
Next week after I emailed him and asked how his test went.. He called me and said he had the same results as I did on his phone and they was now working on the problem, BUT he said the problem was overseas and might take a little bit to get me an answer. He said he would keep in contact with what they was doing. I told him my return window was closing and he said that's ok they would work with me.

Around 2 weeks later, return window closed, I emailed and asked how it was going. I received an email from him. Email was short and to the point. It stated that if I wanted to send it in they would check my unit out. No info in anything else. I emailed back and said if he had the same problem on his phones during the test he said he done then I didn't see any help by sending my unit in till they knew they had a fix or a simple update to fix the problem.
WELL that email was rejected.... Said my email address was NOW BLOCKED !

It has been 2 months and no fix offered, No call, No email..
Now go figure, with this Pathfinder I have an unreliable unit and they have my money.
No I haven't called them back. Why, why waste more time. They know they have the problem and when others have asked me about my unit, I tell them the truth as I just told you...

Company does not honor their warranty

An internal charging mechanism went bad, these dirtbags do not honor the warranty that the product is under, even though they wrote the warrant.
If you but I've of these expensive products, expect to pay a second time even though it should be covered by warranty.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed. I bought dogtra e collar 1900 last year end of October. The remote disfunctioned by this year end of July. ( the level number showing on remote keep changing by itself which could be very dangerous for my dog) I called dogtra customer service. They told me yes my unit still under 1 year warranty but I have to pay the fee to ship my ecollar back to them which could cost me 80$ What kind of service is that! Wouldn’t recommend dogtra to any of my friends!
